Field Buzz was a smartphone- and web-based software system for managing field operations in remote areas in emerging markets, for various sectors: agriculture sourcing & services to smallholder farmers, tracking distribution to small shops, microfinance, and NGO development projects.
Customers included Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, BRAC Microfinance, Touton, Danone, Unilever, UNDP, UNCDF, KfW Development Bank, GIZ, Grameen Shakti, GSMA, Munich Re, Welthungerhilfe, PSI, Care, the Clinton Foundation, Kamapim, and many more, for ongoing operations and projects in countries including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Honduras, Iraq, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, as well as back-office operations in Europe, North America and Australia.
Field Buzz was founded in 2014 and was acquired in 2021. The software is still in use by a number of organizations but the brand name was retired and new customer implementations are not being sought.
