Field Buzz is looking for talented engineers experienced in Django or Android  for our Dhaka office to join our friendly team.

For this position, we are looking for candidates with basic understanding of Python, Django, HTML, CSS, Javascript if you want to work in the backend team or Java and Android if you want to work in the Android team. Candidates should be willing to push themselves to learn more and challenge themselves. To succeed with us, you will need to be a good team player, take responsibility of your work. A Support Engineer will work under the supervision of the core team members, so there will be scope to learn from senior team members. You should preferably have completed a degree in any one of Bangladesh’s engineering university programmes, although we will also consider other candidates with great skills and experience.

Responsibilities if you are applying for the backend team:

  • Basic view rendering in Python Django (modifying existing view, add/modify existing fields, buttons, images etc in the view).
  • Testing and documenting RESTful API developed in Django.
  • Front end design using HTML, JS, CSS (knowledge of AngularJS/React will be preferred).
  • Javascript debugging (in browser console) and Django debugging to find out bug from a well documented specific error/bug report.
  • Help senior engineers completing a task within deadline.

Responsibilities if you are applying for the Android team:

  • Application’s user interface design and improvements.
  • Testing features, business logics and updates
  • Debugging reported problems and write the findings
  • Solving superficial problems
  • Help senior engineers completing a task within deadline.

We have developed “last mile” sales solutions for several well-known clients, including Unilever (in Colombia and Ethiopia), Danone (in Bangladesh) and PSI (in Myanmar). Our software can also track rural supply chains, e.g. coffee deliveries from smallholder farmers in Uganda, Tanzania, Brazil, Kenya, Mexico, Honduras for Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, the world’s largest coffee-trading group. For the German Development Bank KfW we have adapted our software for remote monitoring of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan, Mali, Nepal, Iraq and Egypt (so far, with more countries & projects to come…). We are also helping the biggest NGO of the world, Brac to digitize their micro-finance activities in Rwanda and hopefully more countries in coming months.
