Since 1st October 2019, Field Buzz is partnering with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in Bangladesh. As part of UNCDF’s SHIFT MDDRM programme with financing from the European Union, we are deploying and promoting the Field Buzz software in two districts of northern Bangladesh, Sherpur and Sirajganj, to increase digital transactions between micro-retailers and their distributors for ordering, payment, and stock management, as well as leveraging the transaction data to assess micro-retailers’ creditworthiness and improve their access to credit from third-party financial service providers. As well as enabling digital field operations for FMCGs and distributors, we are piloting a retailer app so that shop owners can directly order products and pay through the Field Buzz system.
Additional partners for the piloting and scale-up Sherpur and Sirajganj include Rahul Group, a Bangladesh FMCG company, and the mobile financial services provider bKash.
